Description
Colchester Sports Park has an asphalt pump track alongside a one-mile floodlit cycle circuit, on the north side of Colchester. The pump track is pay and book: you book a 60 minute Pump Track Session online for every rider before you go.
Booking
- Book a Pump Track Session online through Colchester Sports Park, with a free Leisure Card account, and book a place for every person riding.
- Sessions are 60 minutes and are charged per rider, with adult and junior rates; juniors need parental supervision. Clubs and events can book the track too. Check the website for current prices.
- Bikes and helmets can be hired with a Hire Request Form at least 72 hours ahead. You pay on collection and need ID.
The Pump Track
- An asphalt pump track with green line markings and a grass infield. The operator pitches it at BMX riders wanting to sharpen their cornering, jumping and pace.

- The cycle track is a one-mile, all-weather, floodlit closed road circuit, which the operator says is the largest in the East of England. It is also bookable, with family sessions that include helmet hire.
- There is a Learn to Ride area, free to the public outside coaching and events, plus disability cycling, bike hire and a Velo Studio.
- The 76 acre site, part of Leisure World, has changing rooms, outdoor toilets and a 300-space car park.
