Description
Chesterfield BMX Track is a BMX race track in Ringwood Park, between Brimington and Staveley on the north east side of Chesterfield, Derbyshire. It is the home of Chesterfield BMX Club and reopened in summer 2026 after a major refurbishment with a new surface and a new start gate.
The Track
This is a full BMX race track rather than a small pump loop. It has a start hill with a gate, hard-packed straights of rollers and tabletops, and sealed berms, all reworked in the 2026 refurbishment, and it suits gate practice, repeated laps and working on rhythm over a whole track. The track has been in the park for around 40 years.

Chesterfield BMX Club
The track is run by Chesterfield BMX Club, a volunteer club that leases the land from Chesterfield Borough Council and led the refurbishment. The club runs race meetings here, and its gate practice, training and coaching sessions welcome every rider, not just members. Its Facebook page lists the track as always open. Session days are posted on the club's Facebook page and Instagram, or email the club at chesterfield_bmx@hotmail.com.
