Description
Cherry Bike Track is a gentle 670 metre surfaced bike track on Cherry Fields, the parish council's community green space in Cherry Willingham, just east of Lincoln. It winds one way through young planted woodland, and is open to bikes of all types, MTB and BMX included.
The Track
- A one-way loop of 670 metres on a narrow surfaced path, winding back and forth through young trees, with bermed corners.
- The map on the noticeboard marks 22 humps along the way, some of them table tops, and low rollers on the short loop around the pond. Every feature can be rolled with wheels on the ground, the higher humps have a flat chicken run beside them, and many have a low and a high line, so families and newer riders can ride the whole course.
- For the short loop, turn right as you pass the viewing mound by the pond; keep left for the full course.
- Ride one way only, following the arrows on the map, stay on the surfaced path, and call out which side you are passing on. Helmets and gloves are strongly recommended.
- Pedal bikes only: no motorbikes.
- Volunteers help improve the track, and the parish council welcomes offers of help.

- An all-weather path through the fields to the River Witham bank and the Viking Way, towards Fiskerton or Greetwell.
