Description

Bulwell BMX Track is the home track of Nottingham Outlaws BMX Club, on Pottery Way in Bulwell, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, England. The site pairs a national-standard BMX race circuit, rebuilt in 2013, with a separate purpose-built pump track alongside it, and it runs as an organised club venue with coaching and racing rather than an open leisure park.

The Track

The main circuit is built for BMX racing, with a start hill feeding into larger rollers, bigger jumps and wide bermed turns. It is a more committed layout than a small local pump track, with room to build speed and carry momentum through longer straights and bigger features. The track was rebuilt to national standard in 2013, with a full drainage system, tarmac berms and a dedicated starting gate.

  • Dedicated BMX race track layout with a start hill, tarmac berms and long straights
  • Separate pump track built alongside the main circuit
  • Rebuilt to national standard in 2013

Club and Coaching

The track is run by Nottingham Outlaws BMX Club, one of the UK's oldest and largest BMX clubs, established in 1982. British Cycling qualified coaches run Saturday morning sessions covering mini pedallers, beginners and more experienced riders, and bikes and helmets are available to hire for anyone trying BMX for the first time. The club also holds midweek open gate sessions and hosts BMX race meetings through the year, including rounds of regional and national series.

Facilities

This is a club-based BMX venue built around organised coaching and racing rather than casual drop-in riding. No formal MTB trail grades apply here, since this is a dedicated BMX race facility rather than a graded trail network.

Getting Here
