Description
Bexley Pump Track can be found in Martens Grove Park, Bexleyheath, in south east London. Built by Velosolutions UK for the London Borough of Bexley in partnership with Access Sport, the facility sits within the footprint of a former ball court and MUGA and forms part of a wider all-wheeled sports space. The asphalt pump track is around 162 metres long and is designed for bikes, BMX, scooters and skateboards.

Pump Track
The main feature is a Velosolutions asphalt pump track with a flowing layout of rollers and bermed turns. It is suitable for a wide range of riders, from younger beginners through to experienced BMX and mountain bike riders, with a design that allows speed to be generated without pedalling.
Other riding areas
Alongside the pump track, the site includes a BMX training area and a dedicated learn-to-ride zone. These areas are intended to support skills development, confidence building, and progression for newer riders.
Other stuff
The project reused crushed on-site asphalt as MOT sub-base material, reducing waste and transport. Drainage was addressed through the construction of an attenuation cell designed to manage heavy rainfall events. Temporary CCTV monitoring towers were used during construction to deter theft and anti-social behaviour.
