Description
Berwyn View Pump Track is in Ellesmere in Shropshire. It was built by Clark and Kent Contractors and is located next to Lakelands Academy. It is an all-weather surfaced track offering a 240-metre (260-yard) loop designed for bikes, skateboards and scooters. The project was community-funded, raising over £70,000 through local donations, with additional support from Shropshire Council and Ellesmere Town Council. It opened in August 2025.

Pump Track
The design includes a full loop with rolling sections, curved berms and progressive jumps — perfect for developing flow, balance and confidence without pedalling. Construction began in early summer and was expected to complete by mid-August. Built to handle all weather, it provides a year-round space for riders of all ages and abilities.
Other stuff
This project stands out for its strong community roots. More than 200 residents, businesses and organisations contributed to the build, including local young people who even donated their pocket money to make it happen — helping to create a real sense of local ownership and pride.
