Description
Bartley Park Pump Track is a free asphalt pump track in Bartley Park, Totton, beside the park's large concrete skatepark. Built by Clark and Kent Contractors for Totton and Eling Town Council, it is a single loop with a central S-line.
The Track
The track is an outer loop with an S-shaped line running through the middle, which gives riders a choice of routes round it. Local riders helped shape the layout, and the council describes it as suitable for all abilities, from beginner to professional.
The berms vary in angle and height, and the straights carry tabletops, step-ups and step-downs, with doubles and triples for riders who want more air.
Totton and Eling Town Council says the track and the skatepark are free to use, and that the park is floodlit for evening use.
The Skate Park
The skatepark next door is one of the larger concrete skateparks in the south of England, with quarter pipes, launch ramps, rails and a 10ft vert ramp, so it suits mixed groups of riders on bikes, scooters and skateboards.
Getting Here
Bartley Park is on Ashurst Bridge Road in Totton, near Southampton, and the track is beside the skatepark.
