Description
Bogey Trails is a dirt jump park in Rock Park, Barnstaple, North Devon, with a small line and a pro line of jumps and a dirt pump track, for BMX and mountain bikes. Local riders have built and maintained it since 2009, with Barnstaple BMX Club.
The Riding
- The riding is dirt jumps in two lines, a smaller line for building confidence and a pro line with bigger jumps, plus a dirt pump track alongside the jump lines.
- The lines are built and reshaped by volunteers, so jumps change from year to year as the club rebuilds and trims lines to keep them rideable.
- The spot sits near the council's Rock Skatepark, so there is more to ride within the same park.
Who Runs It
- Barnstaple BMX Club has built and maintained Bogey Trails since 2009. It is a small club, and anyone can ride, learn to build jumps or help with grass cutting. Sessions run on Sunday afternoons, so check the Bogey Trails Facebook page for current times and jam dates.
Riding Here
- A sign at the jumps asks riders to wear a helmet and protective clothing, to ride at their own risk, and not to run on or climb the jumps.
Getting Here
- Rock Park is on Ladies' Mile in Barnstaple, EX32 9AQ. The jumps are in the park, near the skatepark.
