Description

Balderstone Pump Track is an open access asphalt pump track in Balderstone Park, Rochdale, built in 2025 next to the park's skate park. Rochdale Borough Council funded it through Kirkholt Million and Rochdale South Township.

The Track

  • BikeTrack built the track in about five weeks in summer 2025, with a smooth asphalt finish, five berms and a tabletop. The council describes it as fun for all ages.

The Skate Park

  • The pump track sits beside Balderstone's large concrete skate park, so riders can move between the two in one visit.

Also in the Park

  • Balderstone Park also has an outdoor gym, junior play and an adventure play area with a zip wire, picnic areas, a community cafe, Balderstone Library and the Million Pavilion, with accessible toilets.

Getting Here

  • Balderstone Park, Gisburn Drive, Rochdale, OL11 2DE.
  • There is free parking beside the library off Platting Lane, with disabled bays.
