Description
Memorial Park BMX Track is a free community track in the south-west corner of Memorial Park, Pembroke Dock. The Friends of the Memorial Park raised it with Pembroke Dock Town Council, and it is a loop of hard-surfaced lanes over grassed rollers and berms, with a skate park right beside it.
The Track
- A compact loop of hard-surfaced lanes running over grassed rollers and round berms, laid out more like a pump track than a race track. It is free to ride, with no booking.
- The Friends of the Memorial Park consulted local schools and residents, then specialist contractors built the track after a tender. Pembroke Dock Town Council took on the lease of the land from Pembrokeshire County Council so it could go ahead.
The Skate Park
- A small skate park with ramps sits on the hard standing next to the track, west of the tennis courts.
Also in the Park
- Tennis courts, Pembroke Dock Bowling Club's green, a play area and a paddling pool. Memorial Park opened in 1925.
Getting Here
