Description
Mach Pump Track, the Machynlleth Pump Track, is a free, hard-packed pump track in the grounds of Y Plas in Machynlleth, Powys, behind the Plas and close to the leisure centre. It is a single loop of rollers and berms with a few jumps, built by local riders, and a handy session for anyone visiting the Dyfi Forest trails.
The Track
- A single looped track of hard-packed, dark grey fines, with berms on the corners, undulating straights and a few jumps.
- Built by local rider Olly Davey, with input from Dan Atherton.
- A short ride from Dyfi Bike Park and the Dyfi Forest trails, so it makes a good warm-up or an evening session.
Also in the Park
- The Plas grounds, run by Machynlleth Town Council, have a children’s playground, a small astro turf pitch, open lawns and a cafe in Y Plas.
- Bro Ddyfi Leisure Centre is next to the grounds.
Getting Here
- The track is behind Y Plas, off Pentrerhedyn Street in the centre of Machynlleth, SY20 8ER. Walk through the Plas grounds past the house towards the leisure centre.
- Park in the town centre car parks or at the leisure centre. Machynlleth railway station is about ten minutes’ walk away.
