Description
Corwen Pump Track is a free asphalt pump track on the Clawdd Poncen playing field, on the edge of Corwen in the Dee Valley. Professional BMX rider Joe Baddeley built it in 2024 for Denbighshire Council's Nature for Health programme, with views across the fields to the hills.
The Track
- Asphalt rollers and berms looping over grassed mounds, with a railing fence along the field. Joe Baddeley of JB Extreme built it in 2024 and ran coaching at its open day that November.
- It came from the Nature for Health programme, a partnership between Denbighshire Council's Countryside and Community Resilience teams and the Clwydian Range and Dee Valley National Landscape, funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. The same project added a community growing space and a path around the field.
Getting Here
- Clawdd Poncen, Corwen, LL21 9RS. The track is in the corner of the playing field by the B5437, opposite the industrial estate. The Clawdd Poncen play area is a short walk away.
