Description
Bryn Bach Pump Track is a 400 metre, national-standard track in Parc Bryn Bach country park near Tredegar. It has a start hill and long straights of rollers and berms, has hosted national championships, and you can hire a BMX at the park to try it without your own bike.
The Track
- Blaenau Gwent Council describes it as a 400 metre national-standard circuit, which has hosted national championships and club events. It is a full race layout, with a start hill and four long straights of rollers linked by berms, on hard-packed lanes.
- It is open for individual use and private hire, and qualified instructors are available.
- The park does not allow e-bikes or e-scooters on the track, because their weight and tyres damage the surface.
- The park is grazed, so you may find cattle resting near the track.
BMX Hire
- Parc Bryn Bach hires BMX bikes for 45 minute sessions on the track, from £10.50 per bike plus a booking fee, daily from 9am with the last slot at 4pm. Helmets are provided, there are bikes from small to adult sizes, and the minimum height is 109 cm. Prices and times are subject to change, so check the park's website before you go.
Also in the Park
- A lake, visitor centre, cafe, play area, go-karts, mini golf, a driving range, mountain bike hire and a weekly parkrun.
