Description
Kungsbygget Bike Park is a compact, purpose-built mountain bike park on Hallandsåsen in southern Sweden, on the border between Halland and Skåne. It runs to seven trails covering around 4.7km, including two flow runs, four enduro-style trails cut with roots and rock, and a 190m head-to-head dual track, plus two pump tracks. A waymarked link trail connects through to Kungsbygget's sister park at Vallåsen Bike Park, five kilometres away, and a shared Trail Pass covers riding at both.

The Trails
- Nile (700m): the upper section of the flow trail, with built berms, small jumps for those who want a little air, and rollers for a smooth, flowing ride. A wide track suited to the whole family.
- Seven (450m): the lower section of the flow trail, flatter with plenty of sweeping turns. A good warm-up before heading back to the top.
- Herr Nilsson (710m): good flow to start, before a tricky rock step and a run of off-camber turns.
- Mukwano (780m): named after the Lugandan word for friend, with roots, a technical rock garden and a machine-dug jump partway down.
- Dackestupet (950m): despite the name, the easiest of the four enduro-style trails from the top, with a flatter gradient and no major challenges.
- 21:an (890m): built for finding jumps and challenges to practise on.
- Dual Track (190m): a parallel race track with big berms and jumps, built for riding head to head against a friend.
There are also two pump tracks on site for warming up or working on technique between runs. To get back to the top, either pedal the 1350m climb or take the marked 400m transport route.
Gravel Riding
The five-kilometre link trail to Vallåsen Bike Park runs over a mix of tarmac, gravel and forest track, so it's worth a ride in its own right for anyone linking a visit between the two venues.
Trail Pass and Prices
Riding at Kungsbygget needs a Trail Pass, which costs 129 SEK per day for adults and 99 SEK for children aged 7 to 15. Children under 7 ride free with a paying adult. The same pass covers e-bikes and is valid on all trails at both Kungsbygget and Vallåsen Bike Park. Buy it via Swish or on Vallåsen's website. Prices are correct as of September 2026 but subject to change, so check current rates on the venue's website before you visit.
Bike hire, run by Vallåsen on site at Kungsbygget, is available seasonally from 20 June to 23 August, with e-MTBs included in the rental fleet.
Opening Season
The bike park trails are open year round for riders with their own bike. The wider adventure park, including the café and other activities, runs from 2 April to 1 November, with daily hours that vary through the season, longest in the summer high season and shorter over spring and autumn. Bike hire runs a narrower window within that, 20 June to 23 August.
Beyond the Trails
Kungsbygget is a full adventure park built around the bike trails rather than a bike-only site. On the same ground you'll find a dual zipline with runs of 740m and 670m, a 935m summer toboggan (alpine coaster) where you control your own speed, and a high ropes course with seven routes and 66 obstacles suitable from age 5. Restaurant 1986 serves food, coffee and drinks next to the activities, and there's a 36-pitch campsite for motorhomes, caravans and tents (power, toilets, showers, a drainage station, dishwashing and drinking water all included), plus A-frame cabins if you'd rather not camp. It's easy to build a full day, or a weekend, around a ride here.
Getting Here
Kungsbygget Adventure Park, Kungsbygget 44, 312 98 Våxtorp, on Hallandsåsen close to the Halland/Skåne border. There's a large free car park on site with space for cars, motorhomes and caravans (free for the first hour, then a small hourly charge). There's no public transport all the way to the park, so a car is the practical way in. Roughly 20 minutes from Laholm, 25 from Båstad, and 30 from Halmstad or Ängelholm.
