Description
Springhill Community Hub Pump Track in Shotts, North Lanarkshire, is a compact 65 m asphalt pump track built by Velosolutions beside the community hub. It has a double berm at one end, a 180 berm at the other and a spined berm in the middle, so you can ride it as a figure of eight.
The Track
- The track is 65 m long with an asphalt surface, built by Velosolutions.
- A double berm at one end and a 180 berm at the other are joined by a spined berm in the centre, which lets you link the loops into a figure of eight.
- Its short length makes it a good first pump track for newer riders, and a quick session for anyone passing.
- Red edging marks the berms, and a painted mural covers one of the corners.
- Lighting columns stand beside the track.
Also in the Park
- The track sits beside Springhill Community Hub, which has space for clubs and activities, a workshop and an outdoor play area.
- The hub is run by Getting Better Together, the Shotts community group that took over the former community hall.
Getting Here
