Description

Overlee Park Pump Track is a free, 200 metre asphalt pump track in Overlee Park, Clarkston, on the south side of Glasgow. Delivered by East Renfrewshire Council in partnership with Netherlee and Stamperland Community Council, it opened in autumn 2026 and offers a circuit of rollers and banked berms for bikes, scooters, skateboards and wheelchairs.

The Track

  • A 200 metre asphalt circuit of rollers and banked berms, set between the park's sports pitches. The track is laid out as several connected lines with grassed infields rather than a single lap, with a few small concrete features along the way.
  • Built for all wheels: bikes, scooters, skateboards and wheelchairs, with a layout designed to be usable by riders of all ages and abilities.

  • Motion-activated smart lighting with a cut-off timer lets you ride into the evening, while limiting light pollution and use late at night.

  • The project was funded by sportscotland, the East Renfrewshire Renewable Energy Fund, the Scottish Government's Place Based Investment Programme and council capital funding, plus donations from the local community after around two and a half years of fundraising led by Netherlee and Stamperland Community Council.

  • By rail: Clarkston station, on the Glasgow Central to East Kilbride line, is a short walk from the park.
