Description

Ormiston Park Pump Track is a free asphalt pump track in Ormiston Park, East Lothian, next to Ormiston Primary School. Built by Velosolutions for the Friends of Ormiston Park and East Lothian Council, it is ridden by mountain bikes, BMX, scooters, skateboards, wheelchairs and balance bikes.

The Track

  • The track is built by Velosolutions and was developed by the Friends of Ormiston Park with East Lothian Council.
  • The surface is asphalt, so it can be ridden in all weathers.
  • It is a compact oval of rollers and berms on open grass, with pink-edged berms.
  • Riders of all ages use it on mountain bikes, BMX, skateboards, scooters, roller blades, wheelchairs and balance bikes, and experienced riders often help newcomers.
  • It is free to use, with regular meet-ups and events run by the community.
