Description

Kyle Bike Track is a small bike park on the grounds of Kyle Academy in Ayr, South Ayrshire, beside the school and the wooded hill between its buildings and the River Ayr. There are three short tracks graded green, blue and red, plus a pump track loop.

The Track

  • The pump track is a compacted gravel loop on the grass beside the school, laid out with rollers and berms, and good for building bike-handling skills.
  • Three short mountain bike tracks run off into the trees, each only a few minutes long and signposted by grade.
  • The Green run is suitable for beginners.
  • The Blue run is wider and easier going.
  • The Red run is the most technical, with singletrack, corners and a handful of features.

Getting Here

Kyle Bike Track is on the grounds of Kyle Academy off Overmills Road in Ayr, South Ayrshire, beside the school buildings and the wooded hill that runs down towards the River Ayr. This is a working school, so the trails can only be ridden outside school times, and there is no car parking for trail users.
