The Trails
- Three short mountain bike tracks, each only a few minutes long, signposted by grade: green, blue and red.
- The Red run is the most technical, with singletrack, corners and a handful of features.
- The Blue run is wider and easier going.
- The Green run is suitable for beginners.
- There is also a pump track with a line of rollers and berms, good for building bike-handling skills.
Getting Here
Kyle Bike Track is on the grounds of Kyle Academy off Overmills Road in Ayr, South Ayrshire, on the hill behind the school buildings, between the school and the River Ayr. There is no dedicated car park for trail users, so use nearby on-street parking and walk in. This sits on a working school site, and access has historically been outside school hours only. We don't have a recent, independent confirmation that this is still open for casual public riding, so check current access with Kyle Academy or South Ayrshire Council before making a special trip.
