Description
Castlehill Pump Track is an asphalt pump track at Castlehill in Whithorn, on the Machars peninsula in Dumfries and Galloway, near the South Machars Community Centre. It was built by Velosolutions.
The Track
The track is about 100m long and runs as one continuous circuit of twists and turns, with a split line that adds larger optional features for riders who want a bigger challenge. The surface is dark asphalt throughout, with Velosolutions' red line markings showing the best line round. It suits bikes, scooters and skateboards, and there is an on-site tool stand for quick bike fixes.
Getting Here
The track is at Castlehill on the edge of Whithorn. The postcode is DG8 8PJ, and the South Machars Community Centre is a short walk away on the same road.
