Description
Balbardie Park BMX Track is a large dirt BMX track in Balbardie Park, Bathgate, in the lower part of the park beside Xcite Bathgate. It sits in a West Lothian Council park that also has a floodlit pump track, a skate park, a play park and the Peace Mile walk.
The Track
- A large dirt BMX circuit of long straights and wide bends on open ground in the lower part of the park, free to ride.
- West Lothian Council counts it among the park's longest-standing facilities, alongside the Peace Mile and the skate park.
The Skate Park
- A free concrete skate park with quarter pipes, a fun box, a mini ramp and ledges sits on the east side of the park, between the BMX track and the pump track.
Also in the Park
- A 175 metre floodlit asphalt pump track, the longest in West Lothian, is a short ride from the BMX track.
- Xcite Bathgate has a sports hall, group fitness classes, football pitches and a nine-hole par-3 golf course.
- The park also has a play park, outdoor gym equipment and the Peace Mile walk.
Getting Here
- Balbardie Park is off Torphichen Road, Bathgate, with free on-site parking including disabled bays.
- The BMX track is in the lower part of the park by the sports centre.
