Description
Stramore Park Pump Track is a small, free pump track in Stramore Park in Gilford, County Down, beside Gilford Community Centre and the Upper River Bann. It is a compact, hard-packed loop of rollers and turns in a council park that is open all year.
The Track
- The track is a narrow, hard-packed loop of rollers and turns winding through the grass beside the community centre, where riders keep their speed by pumping rather than pedalling.
- It suits young riders and anyone after a short session on a bike or scooter.
Also in the Park
- The park has free parking, a riverside path with a viewing platform, a trim trail with outdoor fitness stations, a canoe slalom course and picnic areas.
- Toilets, including a Changing Places toilet, are inside Gilford Community Centre when it is open.
Getting Here
- Stramore Park is off Stramore Road in Gilford, beside Gilford Community Centre, 5 Stramore Road, BT63 6HL. Park at the community centre and follow the path along the edge of the grass to the track.
