Description

Killinchy Pump Track is a free, 110 metre asphalt pump track built by Velosolutions in Killinchy Community Park, beside Killinchy Hall on Beechvale Road in County Down. It was the first Velosolutions pump track in Northern Ireland, and it sits beside the park's car park, play park and outdoor gym.

The Track

  • The track is a continuous 110 metre asphalt loop of linked berms and rollers with red-edged berms and grassed islands, built by Velosolutions.
  • Riders keep their speed by pumping rather than pedalling, so it suits bikes and scooters, and the council says it has drawn clubs and riders from all over Northern Ireland.

  • The park has a car park, an outdoor gym, play areas, a dog agility park, a nature area with picnic benches and an open kick-about space. Killinchy Hall is next door.

  • Killinchy Community Park is on Beechvale Road in Killinchy village, Newtownards BT23 6PH, beside Killinchy Hall. The pump track is on the west side of the park's car park.
