The Yer Tiz trail in Leigh Woods, Bristol, England has reopened following a £200,000 rebuild funded by Forestry England, with the trail resurfaced and reshaped to improve flow and accessibility for a wider range of riders and adaptive MTB bikes.

The work has focused on rebuilding the surface and redesigning sections of the trail to make it more durable and easier to ride in varying conditions. The result is a refreshed version of one of Bristol’s best-known woodland trails, now open and ready to ride.
Yer Tiz sits within the Leigh Woods trail network on the western edge of Bristol and can be ridden on its own or linked into longer loops through the wider area. Many riders combine it with trails around Ashton Court and Leigh Woods or extend rides towards the Fifty Acre woodland for longer Bristol trail laps.
The rebuild follows an accessibility-focused refurbishment programme announced earlier in the year, which aimed to improve the trail surface and widen the riding appeal while maintaining the character of the woodland singletrack. You can read more background on that project in our earlier update: Yer Tiz at Leigh Woods gets accessibility-focused refurb for spring 2026.
If you have ridden the rebuilt Yer Tiz trail, feel free to share updates or trail conditions in the comments.
