High Lodge at Thetford Forest has just launched a brand new addition for younger riders and families: Pedal and Play. Officially opened on Wednesday 9 April 2025 by Helen Ward from DEFRA, this new facility is designed for children aged 3 to 11 and encourages progression through four green graded cycle loops with optional blue opt-ins.

The Pedal section offers nearly 2km of newly built off-road track, designed to develop cycling skills and confidence. Riders can work their way up from easy green loops to more technical blue-graded sections, all within a safe and accessible environment.
The Play area features cycling-themed equipment and inclusive features that invite families to relax, explore, and make memories together off the saddle too.
Located at High Lodge, Thetford Forest, Brandon, IP27 0AF, Pedal and Play is a welcome and thoughtfully designed addition to the wider Thetford Forest MTB trail network.
With a clear focus on accessibility and skill development, it’s a great way for families to get active and start their mountain biking journey together.
