The Tarland Development Group aims to add to the mountain biking experience in Aberdeenshire by addressing visitor feedback and expanding Tarland Trails Pittenderich's on-site amenities to consult on a hub to include a café, bike shop, and bike hire.

This would be achieved by installing three Beòhus™ cabins. Beòhus is a local business specializing in sustainable cabin construction. The cabins are prefabricated off-site using locally sourced wood and designed by Aberdeen-based architects.
Cabin placement was carefully considered to minimize disruption to existing woodland. Lightweight ground screws will replace concrete foundations, ensuring a low-impact build without affecting tree roots.
The proposal includes Electric Vehicle (EV) charging for cars and Electric E-bikes. Additional amenities include a wash bay, a children’s play area, and an event stage for community use. The proposal is live on their site and the community consultation with the local residents of Cromar to whom this will serve if it goes ahead is happening on the 10th of June.
