Rabbit Hill Bike Park in Aberfoyle, Stirlingshire, held its opening celebration on Saturday 25 July, marking the completion of a new asphalt pump track and separate jump line at the site.

The build was carried out by Bikescape, who confirmed on Facebook that the pump track is now open, crediting a build crew of Aidan, Lewis, Dylan, TK, Rohan, Jamie and Paul, along with volunteers who helped move material during construction.

iBikeRide first reported on the project in April 2026, when work was under way on the pump track, jump line and wider trail revamp. Bike Trossachs secured the pump track and skills area funding through the Cycling Facilities Fund, with a Scottish Parliament business bulletin confirming £100,000 awarded towards the pump track project against a total project value of £204,500. Separately, Bike Trossachs secured £300 through the Scottish Trail Fund for tools and two places on the DIRTT Volunteer Trail Dig Leader course, and DMBinS has been working with the group on wider trail-network development, maintenance and trail sustainability.

The development is backed by the Shimano Trail Born Fund, delivered through Madison, which also supports Aston Hill in Buckinghamshire and Richmond Bike Park in North Yorkshire. Further support has come from Sport Scotland, the Scottish Government, Stirling Council, the Forth Valley and Lomond CLLD fund, Developing Mountain Biking in Scotland, Scottish Cycling and Tradstocks.

The finished pump track uses a linear out-and-back layout, with longer straights building speed into roller sections that can be pumped, manualled or jumped. A separate jump line with steeper features runs alongside it, feeding back into the main track. Reworked lines and additional jump features have also been added to the trails behind the bike park, alongside upgrades to the existing black-graded sections.

Saturday's celebration included coaching sessions, bike try-outs and demos, music, a raffle and prizes, plus snacks for kids. Loan bikes were available on the day from Aberfoyle Bike Co. and Country Cycles in Killearn.
