Cwmcarn in South Wales has just opened the first phase of a two-phase plan to link the red Twrch and Cafall trails. For now, it brings you out back at the top of the first climb so you go back on yourself in a way but adds more trail to the ride, and who doesn’t love that.

Cwmcarn has good facilities alongside a blue (Pwca), two reds (Twrch and Cafall), and two downhill tracks (Y Mynydd and Pedalhounds) with a bookable uplift for the downhill (rest is free). There is also lots of off-piste riding in the Risca area.
