Comrie Croft Mountain Bike Trails in Perthshire are applying for funding to install a fully accessible Changing Places toilet on site – and they’re asking for the community’s support.

For visitors with complex disabilities, a day out often hinges on whether there’s a suitable toilet nearby. The nearest Changing Places facility is currently in Crieff at the Community Campus (not 24/7 and off main routes), with the next closest at Tyndrum – nearly two hours away. Without a hoist or adult-sized changing bench, many visitors are left with little choice but to cut their trips short, or not come at all.
Comrie Croft already has 21km of waymarked MTB trails (black, red and blue grades plus a skills park), lots of natural routes in the Strathearn Valley, and in 2025 welcomed an all-abilities, multi-use trail in the front field designed for inclusive outdoor recreation. The team say the new trail has “worked brilliantly for adapted MTB’s” and they’re planning to widen sections of blue trails to improve access further. The proposed Changing Places facility would build on that commitment, making it easier for more riders and visitors to enjoy the café, shop, trails and views. Check out the Trail listing
