British Cycling, the national governing body for cycling in the UK, oversees both series. Riders usually need a valid British Cycling race licence to enter, while overseas licence-holders can request approval. The XC series uses the standard national category structure (Elite, Expert, Senior and others), and the DH series includes a team-affiliation points system for BC-affiliated teams.
