BikePark Wales has given its iconic A470 jump line a significant upgrade, unveiling a newly reimagined bottom section that enhances flow and makes the trail more accessible to a wider range of riders. The refreshed trail officially opened on May 1, 2025.

The new lower section branches off from the original route after the first straight beyond the conifer forest. It features smaller, more consistent jumps that make for a smoother, more progressive ride. Designed to work with the trail's natural speed, the new layout encourages repeat laps and group riding. The flowy style remains, but the entry barrier is lower than before.
"Our aim for this build was to create an effortless flowy jump trail from top to bottom, one that encourages lap after lap of trains with friends. We wanted to include a variety of fun features that can be effortlessly cleared with the speed generated by the trail and for the step up in size of jump from the top of the trail to the bottom to be smaller than before. It’s safe to say the Trail Crew nailed it, thanks boys!"
The old ending of the A470 has now been retired, with BikePark Wales hinting at future developments in that area.
