BikePark Wales confirms Watts Occurring opening this week

BikePark Wales has confirmed an opening date of 22 January 2026 for Watts Occurring, describing it as a red blend trail that is now running full top to bottom for the first time. In its own summary of the line, BikePark Wales references rock gardens, rooty hand-built sections, faster pumpy flow and jumps.

Alongside the announcement, BikePark Wales has also published a new YouTube video featuring Matt Jones, Ben Deakin and Jono Jones riding Watts Occurring, with the venue describing the trail’s “red blend” mix as combining flow and technical riding.

Watts Occurring is a little over 2km in length and links in from Ych A Fi. The trail begins with a series of tight, technical turns before moving into older woodland where the line becomes more open. The upper section includes roots, some roller‑style features, and a small number of jumps that can be ridden at a range of speeds. After the mid‑road crossing, the trail continues with a mixture of roots, rocks, minor drops, and smoother, more flowing sections. The terrain changes regularly but remains consistent with typical red‑grade features at BikePark Wales.
