Call for monthly trail monitors
LCC has requested community volunteers to inspect the site periodically—around once a month or less—and report any issues such as vandalism, misuse, or damage. This role will help maintain the trail and respond quickly to problems. Full training will be provided for volunteers.

Context: concerns about site misuse
This callout follows earlier discussions between Bickerstaffe Parish Council and LCC about the site’s future. Concerns were raised over antisocial behaviour, illegal digs, and motorbike use causing damage to both the trails and nearby farmland. A recent community survey (now closed) aimed to gather views on these issues and understand how the space is used.
