Ladies, let's get digging! Dean Trail Volunteers are running a women-led dig day at the Forest of Dean: a chance to get outdoors, meet some lovely people and give a little love back to the trails we all enjoy riding.

Whether you're a seasoned trail builder or have never picked up a spade, you're very welcome. There'll be a mix of jobs to get stuck into, from sweeping away leaves and pebbles to reshaping berms and building drops. It's a brilliant opportunity to learn new skills, build confidence and spend time with a supportive bunch of women who love bikes.

Never been on a dig before? No worries. DTV's trained dig leads and experienced volunteers will be there to help you get stuck in, with a safety briefing and hi-vis provided.

What to bring:

  • Clothes you don't mind getting muddy, suitable for the weather
  • Sturdy boots and gloves
  • Water, plus snacks if you fancy

Time: 9.30am to 12.30pm

Meeting point: the DTV container, just to the right of the Pedalabikeaway Café at the Forest of Dean Cycle Centre, Cannop.

Sign up via the Dean Trail Volunteers website. Rider info for the venue: Forest of Dean Mountain Biking Trails.
