Gowaan Kids Wee Day Oot - Innerleithen to Glentress

A fun adventure ride out touring the Tweed Valley, run by Gowaan on in-service days, half terms and national holidays. The ride starts in Innerleithen, takes the multi-use path to Cardrona pump track for some pump track coaching, then lunch at the park. Next the group heads to Glentress to hit the trails, finishing with a hot chocolate or ice cream (weather depending).

A mixed ability group aimed at 5-12 year olds (capable 5 year olds welcome on the Innerleithen to Glentress ride). Once the group has been assessed it may be split into an older/advanced group and a younger group, with older riders heading to harder trails at a faster pace. All about having a fun ride out, learning new skills, meeting new friends and burning off energy: riding trails, some coaching on the trails and pump track to help technique, but mainly lots of fun.

Date: Monday 30th November 2026, 9:00am to 2:00pm (Innerleithen to Glentress). Price: £52.50, which includes 5 hours of riding and a hot chocolate for each child.

Children must have a bike with two working brakes and gears. Helmet mandatory, knee pads and gloves recommended. There is a plan B for winter sessions if the weather is bad, with the option of indoor biking or indoor activities such as bike movies; a call will be made once the forecast is clearer.
