Description

Wisley Dirt Jumps is a members-only dirt jump venue on Ockham Common in Surrey, run by the volunteer "A Little Dirt Never Hurt" group. Expect intermediate-to-advanced dirt jump lines, a handful of downhill runs, and cross country loops linking three commons.

The Trails

  • Dirt Jumps, intermediate to advanced jump lines. It's a members-only setup, you'll need to sign a waiver, and there's an annual jam that draws riders from the wider community. Not suitable for beginners, there are no small/easy lines.
  • Downhill, a handful of downhill runs drop from the top of the hill.
  • Cross Country, natural singletrack across three commons connected by footbridges, with loops reported up to 16km.

Getting Here

The jumps sit on Ockham Common, close to M25 Junction 10 / the A3 Wisley Interchange. Note that this interchange has just been substantially rebuilt, with new slip roads, bridges and a wildlife and pedestrian green bridge reconnecting Ockham and Wisley Common. The altered layout opened to traffic in December 2025, with full completion due spring 2026, so the old walk-in route may have changed. Check current access via the group's Facebook or Instagram if unsure.

  • Nearest car park with toilets and a cafe: Bolder Mere Car Park, Old Lane, Cobham, Surrey KT11 1NA.
  • Alternative car parks: Wren's Nest, Wisley Lane, Ripley GU23 6QD; The Pond, Old Lane, Cobham KT11 1NR.
  • By train: Effingham Junction station, then head north-west and follow the road up to the A3, crossing at the horse bridge, then left to the end of the road.
