Red Kite Trail

  • The 37 km Red Kite Trail starts from Wetherby and is made up of a series of trails on existing bridleways. It follows natural bridleways around Spofforth, Sicklinghall, Wood Hall, East Keswick, Bardsey, Hetchell and Bramham. The route is suitable for beginners, with some stony/rooty singletrack in places. Some bits can be muddy in wet weather.
  • Here's a route map

Little Toe Pump Track

  • The Little Toe pump track can be found in Millenium Field

 Devil's Toenail Bike Park

  • About a kilometre of trails with berms, jumps, drop offs and other features suitable for all ages and abilities.

Wetherby BMX Track

  • The old BMX track in Wetherby, West Yorkshire, was rebuilt in May 2025. Originally constructed in the mid-1980s, the track has been resurrected.

A great ride through woods and park land with a couple of small tracks to have a play on.  A great way to spend an afternoon 👌👍🚲

Red Kite + Secret trails

Fantastic scenery and variety of bridleway trails, some double track, singletrack and quiet countryside lanes. Red Kites flying over head.

Lots of opportunities to increase or reduce distance and secret spots to ride just off the main waymarked trails. Highlights Pompocali / Hetchell Woods

What do you like?

Mostly off road on quiet bridleways and farm tracks.

A decent workout if ridden hard and with a time under 2hrs and you'll know about it.

What could be improved?

Can be muddy in places after heavy rain, but soon drys out.
Worst bog section has now been stoned up.

Red Kite Trail

I did this with 2 pals on Saturday. We absolutely loved it - the trail is well marked up but it was a bit muddy in places, this was only to be expected as it had rained so much recently. There is a variety of trails and scenery and you can have a tea & cake stop in Wetherby as there are plenty of coffee shops. People have put a lot of effort into marking this trail up for the enjoyment of others and we really appreciated it.

What do you like?

Well marked signs. Variety of trail conditions.

What could be improved?

None.
