Western Park Freeride Trails are in Leicester. It is an urban bike park in a park setting.

Tracks

  • Western Park bike tracks suits BMX and dirt bikes. It has a BMX circuit, a large range of tabletops lines like the Mainline line with its six pack, berms, drops, and a pump track. 
  • It is a good place to practice jumping and the community is friendly, welcoming, and helpful.

Other Stuff

  • Best not to ride when it has been wet weather as it is a clay soil base.
  • The trails are built by volunteers on Council land, are legal, and have not been demolished since 2002. They had their 11th birthday on April 2023 when they also won Cycling Friendly Destination for 2023 in the Leicester Cycle Awards.

More fun per foot climbed than absolutely anywhere!

We're setting up some lighting, pre-arranged dates/times only!

What do you like?

The shortest climb of any trail centre. It's free! Free parking, free riding, free banter. Quality well maintained jumps. Great place to learn or progress your jumping. Close to city centre. Rideable from train station. Awesome fun to ride. New transfer lines!

What could be improved?

Don't go if it's raining or has rained a lot that day. No on site facilities as such but nearby shops.

Western park

Very good park and always looked after

Very good trails for beginners and pros Good quality and well maintained. Learnt all my riding skills from here

Fun and friendly

I've been bringing my 13 year old since he was 6 and he has developed his bmx race riding by using the trails to learn to jump well.

What do you like?

Free of charge Car parking nearby Park with facilities nearby Fun trails, all within view of parents, so easy to supervise Trails suitable for bmx or mountainbike. Hold a summer jam with skills competitions every year.

What could be improved?

Loos on Western Park are a bit of a walk and not clean.

Great park

Wicked place

What do you like?

Brilliant jump park, suitable for all age and abilities. Holds a great family day every year. Very clean and tidy

What could be improved?

No Funding from LCC would help a great deal
