Description
Warley Bike Park
Warley Bike Park, also known locally as Warley Gap, is a volunteer-built network of dirt jump and downhill lines cut into the woods on the edge of Thorndon Country Park near Brentwood, Essex. It is looked after by a volunteer group who describe themselves as a not-for-profit organisation caring for a sustainable bicycle trail network within the community. Around ten named lines run down through the trees from the parking area, plus a kids' pump track, with hips, tables, berms and gaps to session. Fire roads link out into the surrounding woodland if you fancy a longer loop beyond the jump lines.

The Trails
- Table Line Runs down alongside the road, one of the first lines you reach from the parking area.
- Hipline Hip jumps and gaps.
- Bivv Line Small gaps, a good progression line.
- Alan's Belly
- T.O.D Winds through the middle of the network, crossing several of the other lines.
- Action Man A long-standing favourite at Warley, suitable for riders of all levels.
- High Line Gaps.
- Full Smoko Gaps.
- Berm Line Berms and flow.
- Evo Line The longest line, running furthest into the woods.
There is also a kids' pump track close to the parking area for younger or newer riders. None of these lines are formally graded, and the line-up shifts as the volunteers build and rework sections, so treat this as a guide rather than a fixed map.
Gravel Riding
Beyond the jump lines, fire roads link the wider Thorndon woodland together, and a longer loop is possible if you fancy exploring further. None of it is waymarked, so download a route or use GPS navigation before you set off.
Getting Here
Roadside parking is available along Warley Gap itself, Warley, Brentwood CM13 3DS. There is no formal car park or facilities on site, so this is a bring-everything-you-need visit. From the parking area, the trails run down through the trees to the east of the road.
