Walton Woods is a small, informal woodland trail area at Walton's Wood, Madeley Heath, near Newcastle-under-Lyme in Staffordshire, right alongside the M6. It has a reputation locally for a handful of short, technical downhill lines with berms, drops and jumps, though we have not been able to independently confirm current trail names, grades or distances, so treat this as an unofficial, self-build network rather than a managed centre.

The Trails

• A small network of short, technical downhill lines built informally by local riders, featuring berms, drops and jumps. Exact trail names, grades and distances are not confirmed by any official source. Previous iBikeRide records describe the riding as red and black graded and under 5km in total, but treat this as unverified until confirmed on the ground.

Getting Here

Walton's Wood sits off the M6 near junction 16, at Madeley Heath, close to the Staffordshire and Cheshire border between Newcastle-under-Lyme and Madeley. No official car park or trailhead has been confirmed for this site: access appears to be informal, via local footpaths into the wood. If you know the correct parking point, please let us know via a review or comment so we can update this listing.

There is no rail station within easy reach; the nearest mainline station is Crewe, several miles to the north west.
