Surrey hills a little bit of Wales in England

The listing pretty much says it all. Its a stones throw from Guildford and Dorking and reasonably accesible from the big smoke. If you are looking for that all day wales feeling and are trapped down south then this is where you need to head. I have mapped together a decent few rides using GPS tracks or going out with mates. I love Pitch Hill full of great XC descents and a selection of downhill runs. Leith has Summer Lightning which is the only way marked trail in the region with lots of fun alternative parallel descents also. Holmbury has the famous tourist route of Barry Knows Best, Yoghurt Pots and Telegraph Polls. All great and can all be joined up for that mega ride or ridden individually in bite sized chunks. The local trail teams do an ace job of giving us carved trails on a plate but whilst keeping its natural setting and feel. Miles and miles, a myriad you can knit together in multiple ways. It's my local and I'm thankful to have it.

What do you like?

Miles of the stuff. Good elevation for the south of England with good ascent and descent and flowing singletrack. Westcott and Peaslake are well served as starting points with friendly bike shops / pubs. Peaslake also has the Village Store with cups of tea and biker grub.

What could be improved?

Lots of trial and error to knit it together but that's part of the fun.

Would you recommend?

*Yes*
