Summerhill Country Park, BMX Track & Closed-Road Cycle Circuit, Hartlepool – a 100-acre outdoor centre run by Hartlepool Borough Council, featuring a 750 m tarmac closed-road cycle circuit, a BMX track, and a learn-to-ride area beside the visitor centre. The park also includes a boulder park, walking trails, free parking, and a café.

Closed-Road Circuit

The 750 m “free-form” tarmac track is fenced and flood-lit, designed for riders of all ages and abilities. It includes gentle gradients and banked corners, offering a safe, traffic-free environment for skill development, training, or family riding.

BMX & Skills Facilities

A separate BMX track provides space for jump and berm practice, while the adjacent learn-to-ride area supports balance-bike and beginner sessions. Together, they make Summerhill a versatile cycling hub for Hartlepool and the wider Tees Valley.

Events and Community

The circuit is used for club sessions, coaching, and public rides. Riders are advised to check the programme or contact the centre for open-access times.
