Great place to develop skills from all ages, 6 to 60!!! The trails/tracks are well kept, well though out, and balls out FUN. Easy to walk to the top for the 4x track or taking in the 3 sessioning tracks on the way, or simply take the uplift. Redhill has one of the most chilled out friendly vibes, take your bbq, sit track side and enjoy!! Great for a family day out for keen mtb'ers..
Redhill is fun. There is something there for all ages and abilities.
There is a national level Fourcross track, a bowled out trick step up to practise new things on, flowy pumptrack a to warm up on. There is an uplift for those who don't fancy the walk up the field which is included in your day pass for riding.
The locals are friendly and approachable in most cases and always willing to ride with anyone of any level and have fun. The owner is kind and welcoming unlike at some other bike parks I've had the displeasure of visiting in my years of riding.
If you've never been before make sure you come and visit in 2015. Rumour has it some seriously fun new features are going to be popping up in time for the new season.
There is a tap with fresh spring water, tapped right from the source. Some riders take bottles home to relive that Redhill experience from their own homes.
Sure there isn't wifi or a fancy coffee machine but if that's what you want from a days biking perhaps golf would be more your thing?
It's not technical, it's not challenging, it's designed to just have fun on. It's progressive, it has variety and is made of some of the nicest dirt out there. You can have a chilled session on the dirt jumps, then go hit the trick step ups for a bit, then jump on the uplift and mess around on the 4x with your buddies. And if you go alone, red hill is full of so many awesome people that you make friends instantly. It's just so casual, not intimidating, especially for youngsters and beginners, whilst also being a great place for pros to let loose and just ride bikes really fast.
What could be improved?
It's not technical or challenging which some riders may find a downside, also due to insurance and fussy neighbours, they have sadly lost a few features over the years. Also it isn't open all year round
Redhill is amazing, one of the funnest places to ride in the country. Really flowy and fast 4x track and fun trails too with some good pump tracks and step ups.
What do you like?
The 4x track. It's so flowy, fast and fun and makes everyone happy :) The trails are also great and are good for beginners as well as more advanced riders as they get bigger as you get through the line. The step ups are great for learning tricks and the pump tracks are good for having fun on and to start getting some air.
What could be improved?
None. It may be a bit windy at time but there's nothing that can change that.
