Penshurst Bike Park (PORC)

Penshurst Bike Park, formerly known as Penshurst Off-Road Cycling (PORC), was a long-established mountain bike venue in Penshurst, Kent, offering cross country, downhill and dirt jump riding across more than two decades. The venue closed to riders in early 2017 after a change of ownership. Plans to revamp and reopen resurfaced around 2020 but never went ahead, and there has been no indication of a reopening since. Part of the Grove Road site is now home to Kingdom, a cafe and wellness venue unrelated to mountain biking, so there is no current riding on offer here.

The Trails

At its peak, PORC offered cross country loops, downhill runs and a dirt jump area set in a quarry beside the DH tracks, catering for a range of abilities. It was one of the longest-running MTB centres in the south east of England before it closed.

Getting Here

The former site is about a mile up Grove Road, off the B2188 south of Penshurst village (postcode TN11 8DU). Tonbridge Station has a frequent service from London and is linked to Penshurst by a largely traffic-free cycleway running from the station to the Penshurst Estate area.
