Description

Plymbridge Woods mountain bike trails are in National Trust land on the edge of Plymouth in England. They have been around since 2013 and consist of a short blue and a red graded mountain bike trails.

Blue Trail

  • This Blue graded trail is 2.0km long and goes through Plymbridge Woods. You will find technical climbs, singletrack and berms
  • You can repeat the first half of the trail by following the blue arrows for ‘Repeat loop’.

Red Trail

  • This Red graded MTB trail is 1.5km long with steep, technical climbs and descents, drop-offs and is all single track.

The Plym Ridge Ride blue

I would like to hear the views of others about the Blue ridge route as I am sure I can't be the only one with this view.

What do you like?

I must say I am not normally negative but I found this particular trail pretty grim a lot of pain and not much gain, There are a lot of arduous climbs with very tight hairpin bends which are difficult to get round if you are not in the right gear.I don't pretend to be an expert rider but I do ride in Haldon Forest 5 days a week with my dogs and I would not give any of there trails a negative review. I must say the area as a whole is a nice place with plenty of water and walks .

What could be improved?

I found the Blue ridge trail ill designed and without any wow factor I regularly frighten myself at Holden Forest and I am always in awe of the views there which riding the blue route didn't give me at Plym. I am sorry for the negativity but thats how I feel.
