Description
Penenden Heath, on the edge of Maidstone in Kent, has a small, unofficial dirt jump circuit near the entrance and a short network of woodland trails leading into a handful of downhill jump lines. It's entirely local rider built with no trail centre or waymarking behind it, and local riders keep adding to it, so treat it as a quiet local dirt jump session rather than a full day out.

The Trails
A local rider built the dirt jump circuit near the entrance, and it's still an active build: expect new jumps to appear over time as local riders keep adding to it, so what's there can change between visits. Beyond it, dirt tracks run through the wooded corner of the heath, linking up with a handful of downhill jump lines further into the trees. None of it is waymarked or maintained by any trail centre operator, so download a route or use GPS navigation before you set off.
Getting Here
The trails are in the woods on the right-hand side of Sandling Lane if you're coming from Penenden Heath village, between Cuckoo Wood Avenue and Becksbourne Road. There's no dedicated car park, so find safe roadside parking on Sandling Lane and walk in from there.
Maidstone town centre and its train stations are only a short ride away if you're arriving without a car.
