Other Stuff
- The purpose-built ‘pump track’, was built by local construction firm Angel Trails.
- The track has been built as an all-weather surfaced pump track, ensuring it can be used year-round in various conditions.
- Interestingly, materials from the disused skate park that previously occupied the site were recycled and incorporated into the new pump track, adding a sustainable aspect to its construction
- In the 1980s, the site was home to a downhill BMX track. More recently, the area was used as a skate park. This skate park served the community for some time before being decommissioned. The former skate park was rebuilt and relocated to another part of Priory Park we understand. This move made way for the development of the new pump track.
- It opened on Saturday 26 October 2024.
