There are four Downhill tracks in total. Each is numbered according to technical difficulty starting from track 1. They take about 40 seconds each to ride for beginners and around 20 seconds each to nail for experienced riders. There is also a Dirt Jump area (with tabletops).

Bottom Tracks

  • Track 1 is fast, flat and flowy. All jumps have a run-around.β€―
  • Track 2 is fast, flat and more technical. Most jumps have a run-around (this may be quite off-line). It divides partway into two separate sections that rejoin.β€―

Track 1 can be linked across into track 2 via the mini double after the hip jump where it splits, into an entrance to the right of the main entrance of track 2. There is intentionally no berm where you turn into track 2.

Top (Steep) Tracks

  • Track 3 is very steep and has 1 drop off with steep switchbacks and off-camber ground.
  • Track 4 (Death) is very steep, technically challenging, with various drops into corners and off camber sections.

Dirt Jumps

  • The Dirt Jump area has 4 lines including tabeltops.

Other Stuff

  • Check out the Paradise MTB facebook page and community group for the latest information and to get involved.
  • The Area began as an illegal set of tracks and has since through the hard work of the local biking community The Paradise MTB Group supported by Evolution Cycles and Bespoke Cycles working with local councilors and the Downland Manager has since become legitimate.
  • Track 3 has been used as the practice ground for the 2009 Jr English National DH Championships.

Good local spot.

What do you like?

There are few places within a short riding distance from Eastbourne so this is a cool place that is easy to get to. The short track length means push ups are very easy. The bottom tracks can be linked up to give a longer run Steeps are a good challenge and good practice for other technical track. Small and large table tops

What could be improved?

Chalk is super slippy in the wet, especially on the dirt jumps Tracks are short

Would you recommend?

*Yes*
