Description
Nunney BMX Track is a compact dirt pump track in the Old Quarry Gardens at Nunney, near Frome, built by Rocketworld MX for Nunney Parish Council and opened on 23 July 2016.
The Track
- A looped, kidney-shaped track of packed soil and clay with grass verges, with rollers, banked turns, small hills and dips and low jumps that suit beginners.
- Not a full-size race track: there is no start gate.
- Free, unsupervised and open year-round, for BMX and mountain bikes, scooters, skateboards and mountain boards.
- It can be soft after rain and dusty in dry summers. It was resurfaced with scalpings in 2017, and the council fenced the car park side.
Also in the Park
- A playground and The Russell Field.
- Benches and a picnic table by the track.
Getting Here
