Mount Hawke Skatepark is a 24,000 square foot indoor and outdoor action sports venue at Gover Waterworks, on the edge of Mount Hawke village near Truro in Cornwall. The indoor warehouse is split into seven sections, including a historic black pool, a bowl, a rhythm section, a vert ramp and mini ramps, while outside there is a plaza and a pump track for bikes, boards and scooters. Sessions must be booked and paid for online in advance, there are no walk-ins.

Indoor Skatepark
The purpose-built warehouse is one of the longest-running indoor skateparks in the UK. Formed in 1986 to serve young people in rural Cornish communities, it started life as an outdoor skate facility before moving indoors in 1996 to become the South West's largest indoor skatepark. Inside, riders will find advanced and beginner/intermediate street sections, the historic black pool, the bowl, a rhythm section with jump boxes, a vert ramp and two mini ramps. The street area and bowl had a significant redesign and expansion in autumn 2025.
Outdoor Plaza and Pump Track
Outside, an outdoor plaza and pump track give bikes, boards and scooters with soft wheels somewhere to ride in the open air. The BMX focused rhythm section includes quarterpipes, a roll in and jump boxes, and the park runs regular bike nights alongside its skate and scooter sessions.
Booking and Facilities
All riders must register online before booking a session, there are no walk-ins, and you will need to show proof of booking (an email or screenshot) on arrival. Admission is ยฃ9 for under 11s and ยฃ10 for 11 plus (ยฃ8.50 and ยฃ9.50 online), with ยฃ6 two hour evening sessions at weekends. Prices are correct as of September 2026 but subject to change, so check the website before you go. On site there is a cafe serving pizzas, paninis and hot drinks, with gluten free and vegan options, plus a shop selling Mount Hawke branded clothing. Coaching is available for skateboarding and scooter riders, including one to one lessons, women's coaching nights and Sunday group sessions for ages 4 to 14. The venue welcomes adaptive and WCMX riders: the entrance and toilets are accessible, though some ramp areas are not suitable for wheelchairs.
Beyond the Trails
Mount Hawke Skatepark is run as a charitable trust and also has a music studio offering drum and guitar lessons and band rehearsal space, hosts birthday parties, and offers private skatepark or mobile ramp hire for events. The park runs its own calendar of jams and competitions through the year, including the annual Dead Sailor Summer Jam.

How to find us: from the Chiverton Cross roundabout (Starbucks) follow signs for St Agnes, then take the first left, signposted Mount Hawke. Turn right to Mount Hawke, and continue to the crossroads just before the 30 signs for Mount Hawke village. Turn right here, and the skatepark lane is the first turning on your right.
