Description

Kinver Freeride Bike Park (locally known as “Kima”) is located off Kingsford Lane in Kinver, near Stourbridge, West Midlands (DY7 5NP). This compact but feature-rich spot caters primarily to intermediate and advanced riders. The site is known for its downhill and freeride focus with short, steep trails packed with gap jumps, step-downs, hips, and loamy tech sections. While it lacks formal signage or grading, most lines would fall into the red to black category due to jump sizes and technical features. There is a push up, it is open to the public and it is free to ride.

Trails

As of now, only the following trail names have been verified through Trailforks:

Loam

  • A natural-feeling line through wooded terrain.
  • Features root sections and softer dirt; best in dry conditions.
  • Known for its fast flow and corners rather than big features.

Funduro

  • A more playful trail, possibly blending jump elements with natural trail riding.

Other unnamed lines observed in riding videos and community posts include:

  • Trails with steep roll-ins leading to gap jumps, hips, step-downs, and doubles.
  • Short, technical woodland lines with rooty sections and tight turns.
  • A recently built big drop and jump line

Please note: As there is no official trail map or signage, trail layouts and features may change. Always inspect trails before riding, and be aware of new builds or maintenance in progress.

Other Stuff

  • A small dirt layby/parking area is available off Kingsford Lane, on the right-hand side heading uphill from Kinver.
  • The freeride zone is a short push-up from the road.
  • Best ridden on a jump bike or long-travel trail bike.
  • Local riders are usually friendly and happy to show you the lines if you ask.
  • Not suitable for beginners.
  • You can combine a visit here with nearby woodland trails or head to Kinver Edge for some XC spins if you’re after more miles.
